well those 17 residents should move down south and buy a legal block of land and build their villa and know they are EU citizens in an EU State.

WOW!

A bank in Cyprus has finally foreclosed on a developer mortgage that was taken out to build properties but not repaid when said properties were sold.

Could happen anywhere on Cyprus.

Mate, the role of the Afrikans bank has been particularly scammy in this business imho.

One thing that sticks in my mind in this affair is that this bank has been charging 80% pa compounded interest on what it claims to be outstanding debt. This one aspect alone takes this matter in to a whole new ball-park of usury and the most outrageous of sharp practice.

We all know about Miss Piggy and her husband.

Not sure whether they have lost their home in the UK yet over this, BillC should be able to tell us.
