Are the "missing persons" a GC hoax?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Fi you know that the issue of 1619 missing persons due to the Turkish invasion is largely a hoax set up up by the GC authorities to promote propaganda against the Turks. Most of these so-called missing persons are actual people in the South side of Cyprus who have been encouraged,by the Cypriot govt, to change their names enabling them to hide their real identities. These people aslo receive benefits from the government to keep quiet about the whole issue.

I believe Bozkurt is discussing a conspiracy theory about th emissing persons being alive and well wit hchanged identities living in the south. maybe he is also under the impression that Cyprus has absolutely no greek heritage to it whatsoever?

bozkurt 69 your post is absolute brainwashed bullshit!

I have 4 members in my extended family who were alive when the Turks captured them but went missing after other prisoners of war were returned from Turkey. all of them were under 19 years of age. These people were just kids. Are you seriously saying that these kids agreed to put our family through so much pain so that they would recieve"benfits".

With all due respect, tell this to my cousin who was 4 when his father went missing. Five years ago his father's remains were discovered in a mass grave and laid to rest in the family's cemetery. Clips from his funeral service were televised throughout Cyprus. Is this a hoax too?

Othellos, Your post does not make any more sense than Bozkurt69's. If I prepare a website today telling you guys that Kyrenia was mostly populated by Turkish before 1974, would you believe that? :D

Ignorance is bliss!

Those that suggest that the missing is a 'hoax' are deluding themselves. You tell that to the countless of families that lost lovesd ones (including my own) and see if it a hoax or not.

It seems that since the sensible people in the forum have gone we are left with people that base their 'facts' on recent made-up history.

Bozkurt means Grey Wolf and I think this guy is just trying to provoke. He might not even be a TC or Turkish because nationalists would never call "Cypriot govt" to the RoC government.

In any case, the issue of the missing is a very sensitive issue. Denial and conspiricy theories only deepen the pain and the division between the communities.
