I have to disagree with you VP. You're thinking too short term. Interaction between the two sides may not force a solution instantly, but time heals all wounds, and every generation has a new view. With borders open and acts like these happening, it makes the process more feasible and the other side more difficult to demonise.

Its been 51 years that we have been living together yet nothing has changed neither side trusts the other to unite.

As long as idiots (parents, school teachers, church and leaders of the both communities) does not brain wash these kids. They can find the ways to live together.... have a look at the both side .... EOKA and TMT are very active in these days.
They are doing all their threats to scare the people.
