Zhtw h Eikosi-penti Martiou! May we one day soon proclaim the date of freedom from Turkish occupation in Cyprus as well.

There are a number of lies regarding the Greek uprising, that have been spoon-fed to Greek children in schools:

1. It did not start on March 25
2. Papeon Patron Germanos had nothing to do with it. The church opposed it.
3. Nothing happened at Ayia Lavra on March 25 1821. There was nobody there at the time.
4. There never was a "krifon sxoleion" - secret school - run by priests.

Yet, we allow these lies to dictate our miserable existence ...
