Would you consider exporting settlers back to Turkey???

I hear there will be money to be made there. :)

As a property developer, what message do you feel is sent out to potential foreign buyers when black-shirted youths roam the streets shouting anti-foreigner slogans and can beat up elderly people at will? Do you want us, or don't you?

The 99% of Cypriots have no problem with any foreigner who respects our laws, our culture and our right to rule our own island.

Are you trying to equate all Cypriots with the small minority of ELAM?

There we are again. False dichotomies. You are either with us or against us. You either accept lock, stock and barrel the infantile, shallow, racist stereotype of Turks that Greek nationalists are indoctrinated with at birth, or else you are supporter of Turkish propaganda. There are no shades of grey. No poisitons in between. No subtleties. No analysis.

Here we have the same moronic mentality again. I criticise the acts of a bunch of cowardly hoodlums, and inderectly ELAM, on whose behalf they claimed to be acting. This DOES NOT mean that I think that all Greek Cypriots think like this or are fascists. In fact I directed a question towards Bananiot, whom I know to be a Greek Cypriot, so if I thought that all Greek Cypriots were fascists, why would I even ask that question of him?

No, I DO NOT - watch my lips and try hard to concentrate - I DO NOT beleive that ELAM is representative of the entire Greek Cypriot society. Kapish?

ELAM is a far right group and they represent only a tiny minority of Cypriots. Such far right groups exist in most countries. Beyond that the people in Cyprus are no more and no less "anti-immigrant" than the people in any other developed country. It is very often to hear ordinary British people to complain about the immigrants in the UK, even though the UK has a much lower percentage of immigrants compared with Cyprus.

In other words, I was helping to defend cherished members of your Greek master race. Get you fascist skull around that!

And I am sure those Greeks respected their host nation, they didn't side with foreign invaders, and they respected your culture and identity, didn't they? I have no problem with any foreigner apart from those fascists who think that they have the right to impose on us their will and tell us what we have to do with our own island.

If you think I am joking, let them come. I have visited the Nazi death camp at Ausschwitz, and ever since the slogan "never again!" has meant a great deal more to me.

You think that if they come the only thing they can do is scratch your face a bit and make you a hero in the news? Some of them are totally brainless and they don't need a lot of provoking to commit a serious crime and ruin your and their own lives.

It was a simple enough question, and I have yet to get an answer.

When I came to Cyprus and paid part cash and part cheque for the flat I now live in, it was all smiles. Five years later, when the title deeds were ready and I divvied up my transfer fees to the government, it was all smiles. When I paid my first social insurance contribution in order to legitimately set up as a self-employed person in Cyprus, it was all smiles. Every time I go to pay my social insurance contribution, it is all smiles. Every year when I take in my tax return, it is all smiles. Every quarter, when I take my invoices to my accountant so that they can do my VAT return, it is all smiles.

So, are these smiles all false smiles? Do you people want a foreigner like me in Cyprus or not? I would really like to know. The silence is defeaning.

I definitely do.

I also want you to respect the Cypriots who have suffered. And the suffering of gCypriots is immensely larger and unabated to this day.

Do you play chess or not?

I do, but I am awful at it.

I think you have lost it. Obviously Anti touched a raw nerve.

You didn't read his post enough to see he did say they should be behind bars, because you were hell bent to give him a telling off, on how tough you think you are and how much money you are making and how we should all be grateful you are doing us a favour by being here.

Anyway, what do you export is what I asked you. Care to elaborate??

Why have I lost it? I have expressed a wish to attend any demonstration that is held against this attack, and have been criticised for that, and had all kinds of rediculous allegations levelled against me. You are damned right that was a raw nerve.

Good! That makes two of us. Send me an email at [email protected] if you like and I will send you my skype id. We can talk and perhaps arrange to fight it out on the board. Loser is the fascist!

And, do follow people's advice on the address bit.

Still no answer. Do you baying pack of nationalist, bogoted halfwits, who incidentally bear absolutely no similarity to the many Greek Cypriot people I rub shoulders with on a daily basis, actually want a foreigner like me among your midst, or not. Cat got your tongue?

We are in a war with the Turks because they occupy our country. I don't care about your views about the Turks, but there is no "shades of grey" when it comes to respecting the culture, identity and the human and democratic rights of the people you choose to live among.

Thanks for the first answer. However, you have to accept that I then have a legitimate right to take part in any demonstration held agains an anti-foreigner movement.
