Would you consider exporting settlers back to Turkey???

I hear there will be money to be made there. :)

My address is flat 201, Kola Court 2, Mihail Angelou, Agios Athanasios, Limassol. Go on, loudmouth, send a gang of your black shirted hoodlums to sort me out. You will see how afraid I am of fascist scum.

I don't think that was is a wise move. If you can't edit your post ask from Admin to delete your address asap.

ELAM is a far right group and they represent only a tiny minority of Cypriots. Such far right groups exist in most countries. Beyond that the people in Cyprus are no more and no less "anti-immigrant" than the people in any other developed country. It is very often to hear ordinary British people to complain about the immigrants in the UK, even though the UK has a much lower percentage of immigrants compared with Cyprus.

In other words, I was helping to defend cherished members of your Greek master race. Get you fascist skull around that!

And I am sure those Greeks respected their host nation, they didn't side with foreign invaders, and they respected your culture and identity, didn't they? I have no problem with any foreigner apart from those fascists who think that they have the right to impose on us their will and tell us what we have to do with our own island.

As a property developer, what message do you feel is sent out to potential foreign buyers when black-shirted youths roam the streets shouting anti-foreigner slogans and can beat up elderly people at will? Do you want us, or don't you?

If you think I am joking, let them come. I have visited the Nazi death camp at Ausschwitz, and ever since the slogan "never again!" has meant a great deal more to me.

Real fascists are those who take single sideline incidents and attempt to create impressions, placing an entire people in bad light. One only wonders whether on purpose! If not, you should want to be more respectful for the society which provides you your living. It would be the right thing to do.

These kind of incidents must condemned and the perpetrators put behind bars.

Which entire people? You mean all of the people in ELAM? If so, these worms only have to put out a disclaimer denouncing the so-called brave act on the part of a group of youths in beating up a defenceless old man - himself Greek Cypriot - in the name of ELAM, otherwise they remain guilty by implication. Incidentally, you have not told us if you yourself deplore this disgraceful incident or not, I see. Do you?

Or do you mean the whole Cypriot people? I do not think that the whole
Cypriot people, a large number of whom vote for AKEL, support fascism in any way. I hope the vast majority of Cypriots are as revolted and alarmed by this incident as I am, and if and when they stage a protest against this outrageous event, or any similiar such event, I want to come along and show my solidarity. Kapish, man from A.U.N.T.I.E.

PS - virtually all of my income comes from exports from Cyprus, including to Turkey. Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it.

If you have nothing else positive to say, and are not going to send your thugs round to sort me out, then just buzz of and google up some juicy anti-Turkish propaganda to post on your pathetic apology for a blog.

We are!

Dude, cool off, I am not ELAM or any of the sort. If I knock on your door it will be with a chessboard at hand to play you a game of chess [and raise your morale as a result cause I suck at it].

Your address bit is even more provocative than you highlighting the incident and making it seem as prevalent. Think about it.

The 99% of Cypriots have no problem with any foreigner who respects our laws, our culture and our right to rule our own island.

Are you trying to equate all Cypriots with the small minority of ELAM?

Good. So do you not find it a little strange, to say the least, that the man from U.N.C.L.E. critices ME for wishing to join a protest against outrages like this, rather than condemn the acts of these hoodlums?

If so, then you side & do business with the wrong crowd!

@Piratis, good answer.

I think you have lost it. Obviously Anti touched a raw nerve.

You didn't read his post enough to see he did say they should be behind bars, because you were hell bent to give him a telling off, on how tough you think you are and how much money you are making and how we should all be grateful you are doing us a favour by being here.

Anyway, what do you export is what I asked you. Care to elaborate??

Tim Drayton wrote:PS, Auntie, I came to Cyprus after 2004 as an EU citizen, availing myself of precisely the same right to come and settle here as a Cypriot has any where in the EU. I can speak fluent Turkish and could have chosen to buy a GC-owned property in the north at a knock-down price, and have lived quite comfortably in the pseudo state. Instead, I chose legitimacy. I bought a new flat on legitimate GC owned land at the market price, have set up a small business here virtually all of whose income dervies from exports, and pay all may taxes, even on cash transactions. You decide. Do you want foreigners like me in Cyprus or not?

I definitely do.

I also want you to respect the Cypriots who have suffered. And the suffering of gCypriots is immensely larger and unabated to this day.

Do you play chess or not?
