Letter to BUZEK.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Letter to BUZEK.

Postby halil » Wed Mar 23, 2011 10:11 am

The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce has sent a letter to the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek criticizing the un-permitted entrance of some MEPs to the closed city of Maraş(Varasio) together with Greek Cypriot former politicians. In its letter, the Chamber drew attention to the fact that the violation of restricted military areas in any country was a serious offence that could cause serious problems.

The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce pointed out that such initiatives, which lacked good will, harmed the ongoing efforts to reach a solution to the Cyprus Problem.

The Maraş issue is part of the Cyprus problem and all issues where there are divergences including Maraş shall be resolved at the negotiating table” the Chamber stressed in its letter.

According to the information provided by the Chamber, the letter was also distributed to all EU embassies in Cyprus as well as the United Nations.

Why is the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Casinos, Brothels and Stolen Properties writing a letter to the President of the European Parliament telling him that his officials and politicians are subject to Turkish military law?

No wonder these fools are embargoed!

The "RoC" no thanks we can have that today but we continue to stay put who wants to live as a minority in a GC state.

True. I believe a deal was on the table to allow T/Cs to trade through Famagusta port under international supervision in exchange for returning the closed city to its rightful owners. But this was rejected by Turkey.

You'd think the Cypriot Turkish Chamber of Prostitutes, Pimps and Casino Workers would be in favour of a deal that allowed them to trade legitimately. Apparently not.

I think the Eroglu government is arogant. I doubt they can take on the EU and their actions were and are in-appropriate. Firstly the "trnc" is not a country and therefore they were not breaking any laws and there should be no consequences. Eroglu and the people who have voted for him are showing their racism and malicioussness
