Turkey has played a clever game with Libya and Erdogan stands to lose nothing. In fact, he has offered a handsome amount of money to the transitional government and the soon to be new leadership in Libya will be eternally grateful to Turkey. Erdogan seems to be winning the impressions over his Syria exploits too.

Turkey is trying to kiss ass of the transitional government after their long objections of NATO taking action against Erdogan's friend, Gaddafi. Once NATO made good on it's promise to help the rebels, Turkey had no choice but to go along with it.......... reluctantly, and many times the Rebels questioned Turkey's commitment to the Libyan people in the early days. In the end, once Turkey understood which way the wind was blowing, they jumped aboard to be on the winning side. For the Transitional team, perhaps they are willing to forgive and forget, as long as Turkey pays through the nose to make up for her earlier mistakes. Turkey did learn from her mistakes in Libya, so now she wants to be in the forefront with the Syrian issue. She may have jumped in just a little too fast maybe this time, which may end up biting her in the ass if the NATO cavalry does not follow her also.

Still, a better show than the ROC government and a number of politicians and parties (notably the so called socialist party) that only yesterday found out (the government, that is) that there is something going on in our immediate neighbourhood. Still no word on Syria, mind you.

Absolutely, it would have been very amusing, had it not been a serious matter.

What I do is besides the point. Are you happy from the way Cyprus has conducted itself on this issue? Did you follow the events in Istanbul today, with Turkey taking a central role?

Cyprus is an EU country my friend and does exactly the same thing that the EU does.
Have you ever thought who is behind all those SIMULTANEOUS uprisings in Syria,Egypt,Yemen, Libya, Bahrain, what-have-you?
Have you ever thought what is the future of those countries and how on earth do we fit in?

Now if Turkey predicts those countries are going to turn from dictatorships to islamic states, in which she could possibly have a role let her do as she pleases. We are NOT islamic and we will never be. Neither we will turn into clowns.
