Paphitis...What good does it do Cyprus that the world and the EU kow who the real racists are when Turkey is allowed to carry on doing exactly what it's done for centuries? It seems that whatever Turkey wants to do is ok with the international community - I wonder what would happen if it tried to invade Israel (we all know how racist the Turks are - Greeks, Jews, Armenians, Kurds have been killed for being non-Turk). Other than the fact that Turkey is in a strategic position between the West and the Arabic world, it has no use to the West whatsoever. The fact is it is a drain on American economy, which is why the USA is pushing secretly for everyone to allow it into the EU, so the EU can take the burden. The EU cannot see what a drain Turkey is going to be but what positives Turkey will bring to the Union, I don't know. It's a bad state of affairs when exisiting members of the EU are verging on bankruptcy and everyone having to bail them out, but to bring in a country that already has a poor economy is utter stupidity. Turkey is just a drain on economic society.
