Dont you think that this is a very well timed ploy? Thats how some would see it. Not that I support the arrest of these people which is stupid to say the least.

Very well timed ...........

What possible advantage is there to the occupation regime to arrest members of the European Parliament?

To highlight the situation even more. I am surprised I have to tell you this. Its more publicity , dont you see?

Well the story behind this starts with a big petition to the EP by the Varoshiotes to ask for the help of the EP in the matter of the return of their city, and the MEPs who were kidnapped represent the Petitions Committee of the EP on a fact-finding mission.

....... and they sure have found out more facts than they could ever have dreamt of.
