You can try it as well if you wish but Id advise you to apply for permission from the TRNC authorities first you dont want to end up in the slammer.
My advice to the occupation regime is not to arrest and harass members of the EU Parliament when they are on a fact-finding mission. Especially when the "forbidden zone" consists of a church on the edge of a ghost town. It's best to leave them do their work. I know the occupation regime feels it necessary to try and make a point that they are in charge in the north but they just end up looking like a bunch of underemployed fascist morons.
Prohibited area anywhere in the world is just that, you enter it at your own peril and these morons got arrested, who do they think they are, like everyone else they should have gone through the right channels to get permission from the TRNC...your advice stinks you probably told these simpletons that its ok due to the fact that the TRNC is not real and you have nothing to worry about
The reason why they did not go to the "trnc" to get a permission, is in two folds.
a) they do not recognise the "trnc"
b) even if they did get a authorisation from the "trnc" which they do not recognize, the military still would have acted the way they acted, because the military too does not recognise the "trnc" either, because their orders comes from above........... above as in from Turkey.
