What can the GC South do when they have EU Presidency?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

That is a good point.

I wonder what the international leadership would think for something as racist and vindictive such an action is looked at by the EU States and the implications of having a major predetor like Turkey in the EU.

Surely it makes sense that NO EU State should have the right to infringe on others human rights and take illegal occupation of a sovereign nation which cyprus is one.

Do you want us to put in brighter lights into the flag or maybe coloured ones. Apparently you can see the flag as planes take off from Larnaca airport.

No you can't.

Just sit on the right hand side and look far right when the plane takes off.

Thought you would only use the Illegal Airport at Tymbou VP.

Just wondering: how many Turks does it take to change a mountain flag's light bulb :?:

I presume tCypriots delegate the task to the imported Turkish TSK obedient labor! I would hope such is the case.

Not on many, many take-offs from LCA mate, sorry can't confirm. Only see it through the heat haze as you approach Nic on the Highway.

However, we will run a successful EU Presidency and we will bring to Europe the fact that Turkey is occupying not only a part of Cyprus but also a part of EU territory. We will maintain that a Country that occupies another territory has no place in the EU and that we encourage Turkey's bid for EU membership provided she follows protocols she signed and behaves like a peaceful nation.

My dear Humanist;
Turkey has been in Cyprus since 1974, dont you think that EU know that the north is under Turkish occupation? They havent done anything since, what makes anyone think that they will succeed when the presidency goes to Cyprus? Whats new? Another tactic/strategy is needed.

No heart should matter to you [tCypriots] more than the gCypriot heart. Win it and you have a future! All other audiences, including the Turkeyish, are irrelevant at this point as you try to chart your way forward. Underestimate the significance of approaching gCypriots with common sense and free of prejudices and you will be losing your only chance to define your Cypriot future.

Ps. Preachy is who I am; nothing I can do to fix it I a afraid!

Know who you talk to, otherwise skase. I respond as a Cypriot first of all.

My apology. No offense was intended. No need for us to lose our cool though.
.

People who resort to 'generalisations' always have that effect on me. Otherwise I am Mr. Cool.... 8)

There was another way to read my comment. It was a response to your plea for a new tactic/strategy. Let me spell it out:

Assuming that the urgency for action is more for tCypriots, then:

1] the only way for tCypriots to remove Turkey is to agree with gCypriots & to convince them of your sincerity

1A] A solution that includes [a] zones, the result of an illegal invasion and occupation AND/OR [b] "equality", veto rights, sovereign bases, foreign intervention rights, obscene guaranteed representation & a crippled independence, the result of bullying and an imbalance of power in 1960, cannot be perceived as sincere by gCypriots.

2] get the "representatives" of the majority tCypriot will [Eroglu is compromised & I feel Talat is also not the right guy] to strike a deal [behind closed doors & irrespective of the UN led discussions] with Christofias [on a 1960 plus changes basis would be the easiest thing]

3] announce to the world that you want Turkey out once you have a basic agreement with Christofias

Ps. I am assuming that you are a tCypriot, even though you are a Cypriot first!
Pss. You should never lose your cool!

Can you please do me a favour. Ask the rest of the GreekCyps to show that we can trust them and their motives. That will be a good start. Now I will read your post.

Dont be b***** patronising  that is one big mistake made on the cf.

It is always good advice to see beyond the messenger and her/his possible shortcomings and concentrate on the message.

I guess the above is b..... patronizing too?
B..... hell!!

Its a game two can play, but is not my normal m.o.

I hate writing the word b**ls**t. I will leave it the others.

I just reacted to you, nothing more nothing less.
