I have never posted on here before, though I have read posts with interest and it seems it's the same thing over and over again. Greek Cypriots calling themselves 'Greek' to which the Turks take exception. Cypriots speak Greek and, probably, English - those are the ONLY two official languages of Cyprus. There's another language spoken - even before the mainland Turks came over - which proves there IS a difference between the people of Cyprus and they can only be distinguished by caling them Greek and Turk!

I am not an 'island Turk' and I am certainly not like anyone else...

B25...efcharistw fíle mou. From the nasty spite he throws out, it's not hard to think that's the truth. I have nothing to apologise for, neither does my family and neither does EOKA or the Cypriot government. In fact, HE should be forever apologising to my family for what they did. Bananiot...BirKibrisli is NOT a true Cypriot. A true Cypriot does not preach hate and nastiness. It's only now, since I mentioned it, that he has changed his 'smiley' - it seems to have hit a raw nerve. The Greek Cypriots have assumed control of Cyprus and look what we have done with it! The South was by far the least fruitful part of the island and look at how we've worked hard to make it flourish. The island Turks and the mainland Turks stole the richest part of the land and turned it into a Chernobyl.

What none of you realise is that you have created your own Palestine. A separatist state that, instead of trying to maker the best of what you have, you turn everything into sand and dust and waste. The North, thanks to yourselves, is a dead area and now you want to do the same to the South. It seems you all want what the Greek Cypriots have so you can lay it to waste. You are too lazy to do things for yourselves.

I think you should write your response, the more we engage the people with these view in dialogue the more their intentions become apparent.
