Do you believe Cyprus will unify any time soon?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The GC community is seeking a just, fair and democratic unification where all parts of the island are accessible by all without discrimination as the rest of the EU. The TC leadership and people want something very different therefore I doubt that there will be a solution in the near future.

The way to a solution is for Famagusta to open as per president Christofias recommendations. Turkey obeys EU regulations that it has signed and agreed too. This shows good will on the Turkish side. The working to rebuild Famagusta creates confidence. A BBF to be developed with freedom of movement and equal rights for all.

The Island dimilitarises completely because Turkey will join the EU because it recognises Cyprus as an EU member State, frees cyprus from its illegal occupation is seen by Europe as a peace loving Cpuntry adn becomes a member of EU.

Burrows said his recent visit to Cyprus was important as it coincided with the Turkish Cypriots “rise up against being dominated and dependent on Turkey”.
“We talk about wanting to support a bi-zonal, bi-communal, federal solution to the Cyprus problem. The bi-communal bit means that there needs to be a Turkish Cypriot community able to stand on its own feet and not be wholly dependent on Turkey”.

I've been saving you for the last 5 years from your delusions and false hopes such as...

“recognition”
“annexation”
“direct flights”
“direct trade”

...and so forth, but you obviously don't appreciate it, so at the end of this year I will make a monkey out of you yet AGAIN!

Something's gotta give all right...but you will not like it one bit...
The only something which can give in Turkey is the Military...You are too bloodyminded to realise that if the EU shuts Turkey out,and Erdogan turns to the Islamic countries and alarms the USA,a military coup in Turkey will be on the cards...And that will not bode very well for the GC cause I am afraid...

Cyprus will never "unify" as there is nothing to unify, but a 100% liberation of her occupied territoty is quite likely by the end of this year.

How many mercenaries have you managed to round up,Tiberius (with a keyboard)???? I reckon you will need at least 5000 of them just to give YOU the courage to put on a uniform???

Just one… his name is Erdogan, and he will lead Turkey out of Cyprus without a drop of blood!

Do you mind telling us how that scenario will work itself out? :?

Looks like this thread is turning into one of those where most people let their dreams speak instead of answering questions by taking a hard look at the reality and what's going on around the world.

At least one person, who shall remain nameless, must either be living in his own dream world or is a failed politician because he just does not give any direct answers to any of my questions.

Shame really, if the people of the two communities who are the ones that are going to live together, can not agree to anthing, how do they expect the power and fame hungry politicians to solve the unification solution?
