How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Birkturk, is just a sad loser who does not want to hear the reality of the situation. He blames everyone else but himself and his lot. He is a self confessed TMT terrorists who takes delight in its actions.

Bananiot, is another lost cause, not because he has decided to give his ass to the turks, but he wants us to do the same. He demands a solution for solutions sake to appease his chums on the dark side. I wouldn't really take anything he says seriously, he is seriously deluded.

Most GCs would like a solution, but we want a just, honest and fair one, unlike the TCs/Turkey who want us to gift what we have to them so that they can have their discriminatory benefits over our human and democratics rights.

So, if you are serious about finding out, the internet has many sources to study and when you have become stuck by all means ask. otherwise you can expect more of the same.

Good day

What did I tell you,Jack? They have the audacity to talk about democracy and human rights, yet they cannot even bare the thought ,or tolerate, anybody questioning their 'reality'...Would you want to live in a country dominated by these individuals??? :(

I wouldn't even want to talk with these people let alone live with them. I'll let them live in their own delusional little world and and see if I can find others elsewhere who live on this planet and know what they are talking about.

Good luck dealing with these .............................. (fill in the dotted lines yourself).

I'm out of here.

Hey arsehole, yes I guess you had better stay wherever the fuck you are. You may be from the UK, but you sound like a scummy turk to me. What a prick, you come here to insult peoples intelligence, you are here for what 5 posts and you think you have everyone sussed.

Get the fuck out and stay out, shit like you we have had enough of.

Hade assirktir malaka.

Now Birkturk you can carry on wanking now he has spoken up for you.

here you can fill in my dots too ..................................., better stil I'll do it for you, fuck off.

AS JackDoe says, who would want to live with you in a unitary state with majority rule...

Bir, it ain't anything to do with who is right or wrong, you know as well as the rest of us that many including the CarpetSquatters would love to see a continuation of the partition cos it suits their interests.... and they will sow division and they should be condemned.

But we are our own worst enemy,Bill...Nobody knows better than us how to sow guilt, hatred, bitterness, intolerance ,and division...We need to put our house in order first, before comdemning other parties...

Spaek.... oops...typo.... Speak for yourself mate... my troublesome CY genes have been moderated and brought under control (most of the time) by a life-time of living in a sort of English way

... but for now Bir, reach out to us... stretch out a hand of understanding... and join us... show some sympathy for your fellow CYs...

Not asking for a hug.... just reach out a little mate..... ...and condemn the actions of the CarpetShaggers.

Agreed about the British, they did enough damage...But it doesn't mean all should be condemned...There are intelligent British people with a strong social conscience who are interested in our plight,so we should not lock them out,imho...

I think I also agree with you that it wouldnt have been easy for a GC to get away from Enosis fever...Now you need to realise that it would've been even harder for a TC to get away from Taksim fever, once the Enosis fever was unleashed..

We must really stop blaming each other,Mala (I like that name so even if you are not him,do you mind me calling you that?)...And you must stop saying I am only trying to justify the events of 74...Nothing is further from the truth...We mustn't stifle dialogue before it even starts...Try to imagine this...If as you say,and I agree, that the majority of Cypriots wanted to attach themselves to a larger country they felt comfortable and safe with, what about the more vulnerable minority of Cypriots? didnt they have the need to attach themselves to a country they felt safe and comfortable with???

Once you accept that, and stop blaming the TCs for aiding and abetting Turkey,we can start having a sensible dialogue...Ordinary Cypriots are the victims of this saga, and until we see that and show some understanding, empathy and compassion for each other,we will be sitting ducks for anyone who wnats to keep us divided...

God help us if your troublesome genes were manipulated by living with the English,Bill...Who do you think were the masters of 'divide and rule' amongst the British...??? The English of course, who were the rulers... :)

I have been doing nothing else than stretching my hand out to you,Bill...You've been here long enough to know that...The trouble is your comrades have been accusing me with all the sins under the sun...Beeing a thief ,a traitor,Ottoman remnant, douche bag...what have you!

The actins of the 'Carpetshaggers' have little impact on our story now...Their situation would be the easiest to deal with once we agree on a solution...But to get to the solution we need to be realistic about the past, brave to admit our mistakes, and learn to compromise...Learn to understand and respect each other...Show empathy and compassion...I am still waiting... :)

It doesn't matter when you arrived, you are still a minority. The Greeks in Turkey, or the native Americans in the USA or the Aboriginals in Australia are still a minority even thought they arrived in those territories long before the majority did. And you, who came to Cyprus long after we did, and who are still a minority, you think you have any right to deprive from Cyprus democracy?

AS JackDoe says, who would want to live with you in a unitary state with majority rule...

But we never asked from you or anybody else to come to live with us under any kind of rule. On the contrary it is you who came to our island to impose your rule on us, and you still think that you have a right to do so. All we are fighting for is our freedom from foreign invaders. Nothing more and nothing less.

And all we are fighting for is our freedom from oppression by those who are carrying centuries old hatreds and bitterness in their hearts and minds...Oh,and our recognition as the facilititators and founders of the Republic of Cyprus...Without us Cyprus would've been a sadly neglected, belittled and patronised Greek state...Some gratitute is in order...

You are hated for the crimes you are committing right now. The fact that you have been committing the same kind of crimes against us for centuries is just a reminder to those who are trying to claim that supposedly it is the GCs who started it.

Before the Ottomans we have also been oppressed by the Latins. The Latin minority lives in peace together with us today. Yet another proof that the problem is not what you did to us in the past, but what you continue doing to us today, looking for excuses to continue to deny to Cypriots their human and democratic rights as if we are still in the era of the Ottomans. Do you expect to be loved when you treat us like that?

What are our crimes,Piratis? Opposing Enosis with Greece??? Insisting that you stand by the agreements we signed to establish the RoC??? Refusing to accept Makarios' unilateral attempts to change the Constitution???Failing to lie down and die when you expelled us into enclaves???Not coming out to fight the coup leaders in 74??? Or is it daring to call ourselves Turkish Cypriots when you didnt want to hear the word 'Turkish"???

Your crimes. Let's see:

1. You opposed the will of 82% of the country! Who the hell are you?
2. You refuse to acknowledge that 1960 was coerced. How stupid are you?
3. You refused to discuss the 63 ideas? You didn't. Turkey did & shut you up.
4. Enclaves. You did it to yourselves. Self-segregation the UNSG said. http://antifon.blogspot.com/2010/12/was ... nal-t.html
5. Fighting coup leaders? You should have but won't hold it against you. You allowed Turkey to do what she did and for that I should want to see you burn in hell. Instead I will give you the option to negotiate your way back to the RoC. Study 1963 first: http://antifon.blogspot.com/2010/12/pre ... osals.html
6. Not wanting to hear the word Turkish. You can believe your own crap if that makes you happy.

sure, but they attached themselves to former ruthless and exploitative colonialists from only a few decades previously. if u'd chosen... i dunno... switzerland or begium, then everything would have been cool.

BirKibrisli wrote: Once you accept that, and stop blaming the TCs for aiding and abetting Turkey,we can start having a sensible dialogue...

sure, but the fact is, u did aid and abet a former despised colonialist... as well as the, at the time, incumbent one (ie britain).

BirKibrisli wrote:Ordinary Cypriots are the victims of this saga, and until we see that and show some understanding, empathy and compassion for each other,we will be sitting ducks for anyone who wnats to keep us divided...

birk. problem is there are two main types of tc.

1. those descended from the ottomans, former colonialists. difficult for people to understand and empathise with former colonialists. cypriots aren't unique in this. and, in any event, turkey continues to colonise to this very day so u belong to a nation which continues to be culpable. see the problem?

2. those descended from locals who converted to islam to avoid taxation/persecution during the arduous years of ottoman rule; ie. those who turned their back on their history, traditions and belief systems for the sake of an easy life. again, difficult for people to understand and empathise with such a shallow group of turncoats lacking in conviction.

so that's the issue. tcs today need to stop bitching and wailing (or in the case of vp, behaving in a contemptible manner) and work REALLY, REALLY hard to earn some understanding, empathy and compassion; having some self respect would help.

those brave tcs who flew the flag of the republic at the recent demonstrations in the north had the right idea.
