How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I thought there were still ongoing strikes in certain schools and "government" offices. I also thought the latest demand is that if Turkey doesn't withdraw its economic package for the occupied areas by March 15 that further protests are planned but this time they would centre on "government" buildings rather than in the central square in Nicosia. Can you confirm this?

So what happened to your predictions, VP, that the demonstrations on March 2nd were only going to be about austerity cuts and not about TCs not wanting to be ruled by Turkey.

A few flags and slogans do not change the piper, if you want to get rid of the piper you have to take control and ask him to leave, nicely.

So you were wrong with your predictions, one of many over the years.!

It has already began, as of 2004, and sooner or later, Turkey will realise which side of her bread is buttered in the 21st century, and it's not the "trnc", but the EU, even as a privileged membership in the EU Club if not a full member is far better then endlessly throwing good money after bad into the "trnc".

Did you know that 60% of the Turks in Turkey can't afford to eat meat and 87% can't afford to take one week holiday (not abroad, but in Turkey). How long do you think the Turks are going to allow their government keep them out of the EU just for the sake of bunch of "ungrateful" and the "trnc".?

What rubbish, you are one of the GCs who claims we are part of Turkey, if that is the case then Turkey is just distributing funds like she does to anywhere else in Turkey.

My prediction was nothing was going to come of this demonstration.

The only reason why Turkey pays is, it is because she is an occupying power in the north, therefore she has no option but to pay, so it's not because the north is part of Turkey or even Turkey loves the TCs. She is paying the price for her own overzealous actions, that's all.

the austerity plan has just been implemented...give it 6-12 months till they start bitting in and then we will see...

the settlers will take most of the jobs, as stated earlier erdogan wants to see more settlers in jobs...

the tcs will be staring from the sidelines as most of them would be either unemployed or migrate...

just wondering what would vips kids would be doing...

on a sidenote, maybe this was turkey's plan all along...total control over the north...

Thats what I am saying she is paying the TRNC just like she any other part of Turkey, all the money she pumps in goes back to Turkey 3/4 fold.
