The National Guard of Cyprus… (before and after)

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

GR also forgets to tell you that the max. range of both these weapons system is well below where an F16 would fire or operate from... the TOR and the Mistral range is up to 16000 ft while an f16 fires from above 30,000 ft.

This is the reason the s300 were not allowed in cyprus, they could get a kill at 45000 ft.

This aint 74 where you could see the damn things driopping bombs and uncle andreas could shoot at them with his Martin rifle

Paphitis, I find it pretty daft that you’ve taken it upon your self to…

(1) Turn a bunch of pictures I’ve posted into a competition.
(2) Advertise the TAF with manufactured baloney as you go along, just for the sake of arguing!
(3) Pretend you have a military background when I know that you do NOT!

I gotta hand it to you Paphitis… it’s by no accident you’re NOT one of my favorite posters on this board! Image

It’s also by no accident that when you came to Cyprus for a holiday; I think 1-2 years ago, nobody was interested in meeting you!

Sheep shagger!!!!

So we need longer range missiles?
What do you propose?

Would the Frenchies sell us these babies?

:D

But that doesn't mean we'll stop upgrading.
The f-16's are not invincible, there's bound to be a small success rate.

The F-16s are not invincible. Likewise with an F22, Typhoon, or F35.

There would be a small success rate, but the TAF would have a far greater success rate with their F16s.

I wouldn't be so absolute about them winning a war against the CNG. The winner will be decided on each side's objectives in such a war and wether they achieve those objectives and the CNG could theoretically accomplish a great deal, but not in their present state.

Another idiot talking rubbish! The ONLY thing a plane can do from 30k feet is DROP bombs… and not any kind of bombs due to the wind blowing them way off course!

To use accurate missiles and rockets, a fighter jet MUST descend to very vulnerable altitudes.

You are the one who seems to think that taking on the TAF is an easy feat.

I am not so stupid but would be the first to admit that there is potential to give them a bloody nose.

Listen, I have been around the blocks a few times and have spent my entire adult life in Defence, and will eat your stupidity up sonny boy!

Why don't you tell us about your military career?

It ain't bloody rocket science!

BTW, the TAF is more than capable of launching 500 sorties in one day, as long as they do not need to deal with any other simultaneous threats.

If you want to find out about my past and present career, then you will need to either ask Boomerang or Umit, or buy me a few beers at the pub when I come to Cyprus!

Look, I'm not going to tell you anything on an open forum.

I hope you’re not assuming that doing the postal service from Adelaide to Northern Territory in a Cessna-like balsa plane, constitutes “DEFENCE”!
