It looks more like a whale hunting harpoons.

But really, how can the operator be so close to this weapon and be exposed to the sound and blast if they are in fact some sort of anti aircraft missiles.?

I wouldn't have a clue! :lol: :lol:

Manpads (shoulder launched missiles) are usually ejected a safe distance before the missile ignites.
