lets be honest here...without a threat to tc income...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

lets be honest here...without a threat to tc income...

...most tcs would not be demonstrating...they wish to rule themselves, receive good wages, continue with political favouritism in employment if their party is in power, take money from turkey, have turkish soldiers remain on the island, and if possible reach a solution to the cyprus problem...turkey, being what it is, will never allow tcs to govern themselves and simply provide diminishing money and perceived propaganda security just so she can have a foothold on the island..

things ain't gonna worse coz the tcs are demonstrating for the wrong reasons, and everyone can see this...especailly the EU, causing merkel to come out her said comments...

the tcs are only fooling themselves...end of the day they are only after free money and the turks ain't interested anymore...hence the appointment of the slasher, signaling the tcs do not bother coming over, just visit the embassy in the kfc...

Look at it this way. Many things were hapenning in Cyprus prior to 1974. Turkey was waiting in the eve's for its chance to invade. The anti Makarios coup was the straw that broke the camels back. Its the same here. From day one the TCs were patient, and waited and waited, and this WAS the last straw.

We have often carped on about embargoes, but Turkey has also been responsible for the same. Apparently Turkey would not buy Cypriot oranges but relentlessly exported enough to the north. There have been other instances like this but they are only a drop in the ocean. Turkey wished to have this stranglehold over the TC economy and no one can stop them.

Apparently there have been demo's in Istanbul too, in support of the TCs actions. They were allowed to carry banners stating 'Turkey, (get lost) get out of Cyprus'. but the same wre not allowed in Cyprus. Double standards all the way through.

The above sign is what you are talking about, Deniz.

Actually, Turkey exports over $1 Billion USD worth of goods to the north and the north exports about $35 million USD worth of goods to Turkey. On average, that's about 50 cents per person (half Dollar) in Turkey buying goods from the north. So yes, in effect, Turkey does put an embargo on the north with their exports.
