The Party is Over For the Turkish Cypriots

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

So what's so different with what existed pre74? We still had a rebellious Turkish community that couldn't integrate at all! :?

Whether it’s this wave of Turks or some other wave of Turks what difference does it make?

Having "colluded" in the loss of part of the island to Turkey would returning genuine TCs be welcome in the ROC?

In my opinion, the answer is a BIG "NO". I believe that if a solution can be reached based on True Federation, Democracy, Human Rights, International Law and the EU Principles, the TCs and the GCs can make a go of it under the EU umbrella, but if the north is lost to Turkey, TCs in general will not be welcomed in the RoC. They will face a lot of hardship and will be treated as "Gypsies of the Mediterranean". I don't even think any TC will have the courage to move to the RoC after helping Turkey keep the north. It will take a lot of BALLS for any TC to move to the RoC under those circumstances.

What do the GCs think.??

How does that happen?

It doesn't legally, unless the RoC agrees to it.

I'm just continuing the conversation from the original post, that all.

There seems to be a “good TC” and “bad TC” theory circulating in the occupied territory, because some of them seem to think that after an X number of years you acquire special rights and become a “good TC”, whereas the newer ones are all ”bad TCs”!

Well from our perspective there’s no such thing as “good” or “bad” TCs! What we’ve had is waves of Turks that have been coming to Cyprus illegally.

So for us indigenous Cypriots, the only “good TCs” are those that blend in with us, respect our ways and our country, and assist in putting an end to having any more of these “bad TCs” coming in!

Sorry mate but a small minority of “Turkish Cypriots” that are 100% loyal to Turkey, is absolutely no reason for the RoC to ruin a good thing and dissolve her sovereignty!

I know GR, you would rather have the Turkish army stay forever in Cyprus so that you get your heroic chance to drive it out, when the balance of power changes ...

Really.?

I thought those agreement are no longer valid due to the new agreement to have a BBF. One of the blunders by Denktash I may add, but then again, he thought the Cyprus Problem was solved in 1974. In any case, the RoC will just ignore it and continue as they are doing today without the TCs involved in the government. The world doesn't seem to mind with the present arrangement at all, are they.??..

But if you were to use the 1960 agreements, then be prepared for the TCs to be sent to jail or exile (their choice) for colluding with the enemy in trying to destroy the Republic of Cyprus and secede from it. Most countries that is punishable by firing squad. Lucky for us TCs, the RoC is in the EU and such punishment is not allowed.

Think of it as an insurance policy, i believe they still have ourr seats reserved in parliament and have to accept us if we decide to claim our rights under the 1960 agreements which includes veto rights and vice president post.
