Erdogan Offers To Invade Libya ... for EU membership!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Hermes » Wed Mar 02, 2011 11:58 pm

Of course the proposal is bullshit as you can't bypass the EU accession process or the Cypriot veto. But maybe Erdogan is deranged enough to think it's worth a try.

Nice story. Hilarious if true.

I can't vouch for their credibility. But it's given me a good laugh anyway.

When has that ever stopped them before? Anyway, I have it on good authority that Turkey has put together a flotilla of boats and called it a "peace armada" and plans to sail to Tripoli to rescue Colonel Gadaffi before his own people lynch him. Libya's vast oil reserves will then be handed over to the West and as a reward Turkey will be granted immediate EU membership.

This is all true and not the fantasy of a deranged politician who makes up foreign policy as he goes along and is widely regarded by even his allies as a dangerous megalomaniac with ideas way beyond his station.

Long live the Caliphate!

no one has the right to invade libya, the problems are internal and nothing to do with the uk usa or turkey.they should butt out , mobarak killed hundreds of demonstrators in egypt but nothing was said ,because he was an american puppet, and america uk were happy with him killing hundreds of dissedents over many years in egypt, but libya is diff you can tell by the language coming from the dictators around the world, you can get rid of your dictator as long as the next dictator is ours, but they all know that cannot be done in libya, the americans are not in control, unless they can get men in there to destabelise the government, ask yourself this question ,if there is a march in a city in uk or america against the government would the police or army stand by and watch. no way ,they would take what ever action needed to quel, the riot, libya are in a no win situation ,they can be shot at by the opposition but if they fire back that is a war crime,,,, the only dictators here are the britts and the usa

Hang on a tick because I didn’t say I agree with Erdogan’s theory because I would then question Turkey’s right to invade Cyprus!

So never say never…
