question with a question: why was Denktash against the plan, why did he stand with TPap (and at that meeting he cried, too) in trying to convince Talat to delay the referendum?

i think the GCs voted no because the changes made to it were so late in coming that there was no debate, no one had read it. also, having learned from the Constitution of 1960 being unclear, they did not want another solution that was not in any way easy to understand.
