Did you hear about the ones in the UK thrown in dumpsters so they can explore garbology? That's what I admire about Brits... they always find interesting things for dogs to do! 8)

What I find so consistently pathetic about certain responses on this forum is that every criticism (however well intentioned) is met with the childish comment "Look at what the Brits are doing." Could Cyprus excuse torture of its people because other countries are doing it? - Grow up!

Pathetic is your deliberate attempt to isolate Cyprus with "island of love" and thus solely blame Cypriots, whilst ignoring the fact that many of these “sad, miserable dogs who have been kicked out to fend for themselves” are the result of your infamous compatriots moving back to Britain and abandoning their pets!

The comments about Brits abandoning pets are quite valid, but equally, besides the appaling conditions in which many keep hunting dogs, as the local mayor was telling me recently, in our area we have a big problem with hundreds of dogs being dumped by (mostly) Cypriot hunters at the end of the hunting season each year.

What was however IMHO throughly uncalled for was the outright abuse by which GR closed his message.

Did you leave your contact details in case a dog is found/rescued?
Good luck.
As much as I am a great believer in adopting older animals I suggest that you try to adopt a puppy.. That way you will be able to train him/her whilst he/she grows up with your daughter :)
