Jerry wrote:Schnauzer, if you have not seen it I suggest you watch "The Promise" on Channel 4 tonight. One of the best fact based dramas I have ever seen on TV. Here's what New Statesman said about it, some of the comments are quite revealing.

A TV series along these lines about Cyprus in the 1950s would be really interesting.

Thank you Jerry, for drawing attention to the programme you mention, I appreciate that you recognize the fact that it is one which I should not miss and I have not.

I have spent a great deal of time in the disputed territories of what has come to be known as 'Israel' (the ever expanding terror state), I have seen the suffering of those who are now forced to squirm under the oppression and suppression of a military force which relies upon it's powerful Western allies to sustain it's grip upon the weak, I have also seen the signs of 'Israeli' infiltration in many other places.

Beware Cyprus, the rats are a'nibbling at the back door whilst your political leaders are embracing the Eagle's and the Lion's advices at the front.

I do wonder if 'Israel' has any financial interests in our divided country ?.

Can you prove you are a Cypriot?

Schnauzer sounds Jewish to me?

Au Contraire mon ami, a Schnauzer is a breed of German Terrier, I adopted the name as a forum identity specifically out of respect for it's reputation as an astute guardian of it's master's property and it's uncanny ability to sniff out and destroy 'Rats'.

In these characteristics, I feel that I chose the name well since my profession is so often dependant upon my ability to 'Protect' those vulnerable to chicanery.

As to the 'Sniffing Out' of 'Rats', (metaphorically speaking) such creatures are quite surprisingly abundant in and among those who deign to 'Rule', if one develops the ability to 'THINK' for oneself, then their identities and their objectives become crystal clear.

Unfortunately, with only the 'Weasel Words' of politicians to rely upon for information (seriously censored and so often exposed as lies), the public in general seem mostly to have lost the ability to 'THINK' for themselves.

Leave it to 'Schnauzer', I will keep you informed, I have many of the attributes of my 'Canine' representative coupled with the tenacity of the 'Bulldog' (who will not let go of his bone).

As for being thought 'Jewish'?, with a shrug of my shoulders I must admit that such a possibility never occured to me, I just can't work it out!.

The possibility of our being 'Related' when considered in 'Infinite' terms, becomes a distinct one since ALL mankind is subject to precisely the same act of creation.

The problems which beset the world today are a result of mankind's chosen routes to development (or enlightenment) and, having been ever subjected to the leadership of they who sought to control the lives of others (whether they be right or wrong, weak or strong) we ALL arrive where we are today.

The 'Trick' is, to 'THINK' things out for oneself rather than to rely on the thoughts and actions of they who map the routes for mankind's future, I am sure that every one of us has the ability to recognize that today's 'Leaders' are far more concerned with their own well-being than that of the masses they supposedly represent.

'Democracy' may be the answer BUT, it's principles must be properly adhered to, no nation on earth can lay claim to be 'Democratic' for as long as it's elected representatives and leaders are corrupt (as is the case in EVERY nation).

Don't let's kid ourselves, we are ALL subjected to the same future.

And in THAT sense, "How are you Cousin"

lol, makes me think that vp and christofias are very much alike; Cypriots deep down through and through, but stuck with having to defend what is "Greek" or "Turkish".
