off topic - i read all the threads/posts all the time even the ones that doesnt hold any interest for me and i noticed something..

there is a drastic change in some of the members popularity !! YES weird how can some members be feard or respected and quickly taking for granted... amusing

Paphitis, do you honestly believe that Oracle was "trolled off" by Gasman. She was more than capable of sticking up with herself, as she demonstrated on numerous occasions.

I think you will find that her departure (temporary ?) has more to do with using more than one identity and her persitant racism. Her behaviour, and that of other racists, would not be tolerated were the forum based in, say, the UK. I wonder if the regulatory authority in Cyprus eventually woke up to the harm that such posts did/do to the image of Cyprus.

Gasman really did spout a lot of nonsense and her posts personally victimised Oracle over a prolonged period. Oracle did try to ignore her, but the personal attacks and slurs were relentless! If Admin did the right thing and cautioned her, then perhaps Oracle will still be here, and we will all be richer for it! Oracle gave the forum colour, humour, and intelligence, and she is no racist! Also, Oracle only utilised 1 ID, but had a couple beforehand and she was more than honest with her forum conduct.

Sorry Jerry, Oracle did no harm to Cyprus whatsoever. Being angry with Turkey for what any reasonable person will deem as very valid cause, is by no means racism!

Now Jerry, CF has lost 2 really great contributors and we will be all the poorer for it.

Yes, Gasman was a big troublemaker here, posted much nonsense and she did relentlessly troll Oracle. She was totally fixated with Oracle as if her only purpose was to get rid of her.

But please, I do not wish to discuss this any further! Just give all concerned some space and a bit of respect, and hopefully in time they will return!

You are so wrong Paphitis. Both Oracle and Liberty (aka Oracle) posted on the same thread last month.

As to the harm she may/may not have done my perception of her was one of a blatant racist. On several occasions she said “Turks out of Cyprus” and never bothered to qualify that broad statement as to whether it meant TCs, mainlanders or the TA. Indeed her racism led to the disappearance of at least three valuable and articulate contributors to CF.

I’m angry at Turkey but like it or not we will have to come to terms with the TCs, telling them how much we loathe them is not conducive to solving our differences.

I feel uncomfortable discussing someone who is denied a response (no doubt her groupies will have something to say) however had you seen her last posts (since deleted) you would realise she went way over the top in her final assault on Gasman and in that respect she brought about her own demise.

In spite of her undoubted intelligence, articulacy and quick wit on balance I feel the forum is better off without her, newcomers may, in the long run, feel less intimidated and more inclined to join in.

I have to agree with everything you have said in your last two posts Jerry...

i know from her PM that oracle used "liberty" to get proof that gasman was specifically trolling oracle and then abandoned the forum altogether.
