Birk: I think the TC community is at risk if they opt for annexation to Turkey. The TC population in Cyprus has seen a substantial decline over the last 45 years.

I hope I am wrong. Thats what makes Cyprus different to Greece ad I imagine Turkey though I have not been there \

You know as well as I do that politicians are very selective with the truth...They tell you what they think you want to hear, and quietly do what is in their interest...Turkish politicians are not exempt from this rule...

ok then the gcs were right in rejecting the anan plan...right?...

should the gcs ever trust turkish politicians in the future?... no fucking hope...

thanks a million for the insight...

The TCs had very little say in what has happened to them,Andrea...
Trust me,their fate was decided the moment Enosis with Greece became GC preoccupation and ambition...I know I am repeating this, but it is only because you people are all in denial...Never,not even for one single moment in history were the TCs had the power to decide their own future...They were a spectator in their own tragedy... :(

The Annan Plan was not prepared by Turkish politicians...It was a UN initiative and the agreement had UN backing...Biggggg difference...

And in any case, after the GC blackflip following the 1960 agreements, can the TCs ever trust anything GC politicians say now??? That is the 6 Million dollar question...

errr... as i understand it - rather than becoming extinct at the hands of hitler - the jews went on to establish the state of israel. they didn't do that by being spectators.

For once we agree.

good. off u go then. u got at least 50,000 protestors to put straight and there's only a couple of days before they upset mama, again.

Its called democracy, people are allowed to protest.

ur all over the place. one minute u agree with me that they deserve a good slapping, next minute you say that they should be allowed to protest.

Slap = Economic reform, what were you referring to?

 u ought to know that in turkey 'a good slapping' means something different.

No you should know that, not me.

bir İyi tokat ( this is not economic reform)
