Are we the only people who buy off plan a year ahead and still get no choice of what fittings we have in our apartment? That is one of the problems of buying a holiday apartment in another country. The place is finished at the end of October and I can`t wait- even if we don`t like the kitchen cupboards!!!

The situation you describe is not unusual .

However, it is normal for the builder/developer to give you a specification sheet where it details what goes in to the flat/house.

The larger developers buy in huge quantities items such as tiles and they put the same in every unit.

Smaller developers will normally take you to various shops to choose tiles/sanitary/kitchen types etc.

You will need to consult your specification.

Yet another reason I keep telling people to talk to us who live here before parting with the hard earned dosh.
