Declassifying old private mail…

As the title suggests, I’m wondering what your thoughts might be on this one!

Just as politicians declassify material after say 20-30 years have gone by, perhaps we should have a declassification policy too!

Is it ok to do so and if yes how old is acceptable?

Going through my old mail the other day I realised I’ve got stacks and stacks of old mail sitting there collecting dust. It is material from past feuds, alliances, dissolutions, discord, romance, friendships, and some really bizarre messages I still can’t figure out!

Well guess as the title suggests it is "private" and should stay private if it's personal stuff.

If it's State Private then it should immediately be published in Wikileaks.

We should only declassify anything if it will cause acute embarresment to both the sender and the recipient, and amusement to the rest of the Forum.
