actually it has always been 29%++,never 25% however VP that was that the 29% northern unit would comprimise the t/c community and the rest of the g/c that did not return under a g/c state with full human,property and political rights.

VP the best thing you can do to preserve your culture is actually re-nunify with the free areas. Because you then run the risk of truly becoming a Turkish State and before you know it your culture is wiped out. Unification means that on the international arena you are recognised as partner in the United Republic States of Cyprus. You will have a large stake of the State Administrations and a number in the Federal Government this ensure the TC lineage continuing in the history and evolution of the United Republic of Cyprus. The alternative is having no specific government representation if you opt for the Turkish State. In any case the Cypriot issue will need to be resolved soon. You have to make a decision urgently these are your two options as a society.

I am looking at this from a historical and cultural perspective as I have studied Anthropology and Sociology because of my interest in Culture. I am not seeing it from a political view, though much of my post was of political nature. Another interest of mine. Unfortunately I don't have such an issue with EGO to want to become a politician ..... nor the bloomin time Hehehehehehe
