The unanswered question remains... Do TCs REALLY want to break away from Turkey's grasp?

The TC's may want to breakaway from Turkey's grasp and may think they can but the reality is .... It is not going to happen.
As it stands the TC's have two options Unification and equality of rights in a democratic State of the EU where despite the fact they have a minority population they are a major part of the State of Cyprus, or annexation to Turkey where they become totally swamped by Turkish culture because the only thing they share really is language.
If they do this they stand to possibly miss out on natural resources boom that's about to hit Cyprus unless the reserves run further north into the Mediterenian Sea. In which case Turkey as a Country that has one State on the Island of Cyprus can explore within its own waters (I doubt this scenario would ever play out).
The other important thing that will eventuate form a possible annexation to Turkey is of course Turkey ministers will replace TC's administrative staff as years move on. Which leads the TC's to extinction and this for anyone who can understand is a loss in Cyprus's unique culture and major part of its history.

Turkey wins hands unless you GCs accept that we are equal partners in a BBF and not just some minority in a greek Cyprus as Piratis puts it.
