Turkish gvt wants to see stronger Turkish Cypriot state

Postby CBBB » Tue Feb 15, 2011 11:04 am

Cicek said TRNC's one of main needs was potable water.

Turkish government spokesman said on Monday that Turkish government wanted to see a stronger Turkish Cypriot state.

State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek, also the government spokesman, said that the government wanted to see a stronger Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

"Turkey has done and will continue to do what it has to do as a friend of TRNC," Cicek told reporters after the cabinet meeting in Ankara.

Cicek said TRNC's one of main needs was potable water, and Turkey had started to implement a project to transport water to TRNC beneath the Black Sea.

The government spokesman estimated the cost of the project around 450-500 million USD, and said Turkey would carry water from Alakopru Dam on Dragon Brook in the southern town of Anamur to TRNC through pipes constructed beneath the Black Sea.

Cicek said Turkey was assisting TRNC with three-year protocols signed with prime ministers of that country, and the aim of the protocols was to make TRNC stronger.

"The aim of the protocols is to eliminate the difference in level of development between TRNC and the Greek Cypriot administration, and to make TRNC more prosperous," Cicek also said.

"Black Sea".................Well, that may well be the reason as to why this phantom project has not been completed in the last 30 years that has been promised to the "trnc".

Perhaps Turkey should invest the money instead in producing "Rain Dancers" in order to bring water to the "trnc" from the skies. I'm sure it will be more effective and faster than piping water to the "trnc" under the Black Sea.!

Panayia mou! :eyecrazy:

Everyone knows that the pipeline must go beneath the Pacific Ocean in order to reach the "trnc".

My partner and I have already booked our Mediterranean Holiday to Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Tahiti and Fiji.

We are also planning our Pacific Cruise to Cyprus, Greece, Israel and Egypt.

What bloody amateurs.

No they don't - all they have to is to stop those 100 secret planes (so Secret no one has ever seen them) based at RAF Akrotiri that regularly leave chem trails.
