Isnt it clear after 37 years that political dialouge quite simply doesnt work with Turkey? After all this time, when finally, for wrong or right us in the North have 'woken up' yet still no passion ON THE STREETS of Cyprus. This is the most effective way after 37 years of getting back whats righfully yours. Its NOW or NEVER!

Obviously, your demonstrators haven’t convinced the GCs that you’re ready to give up on your racist and undemocratic “political equality” and similar stupid ideas, so they’re just enjoying the debacle from a distance!

Not as silly or racist as forcibly ethnically cleansing a part of the island that does not belong to you!

the idea that a whole island belongs to all its people isn't silly, it's common sense. stop accusing the long-suffering cypriot people of being racist. it's unbecoming and liable to incur their wrath rather than sympathy.

cypriots in the free areas will decide, en masse, when they're ready to take up the cause. they're not yet convinced of your motives or the end game. that's not their fault.

If I were you I'd show a lot more contrition and less name-calling if you expect the ROC to come to your rescue. It's up to you to show you understand the disaster that your vile separatist policies have inflicted on the island. You can be sure the Turkish authorities won't be as forgiving.

As to the main point, I'm all in favour of the T/Cs taking to the streets and demanding Turkish withdrawal. If T/Cs are serious that they are calling for an end to the occupation then I see no reason why we can't hold simultaneous protests in the free areas.

I absolutely agree with the point of silly ideas, trust me im not one of those idiots, my point is that if there is such a thing as Cypriots, therefore 'Cypriotness' then now is a good oppurtunity to start proving it. Of course maybe we need to see what happens in the coming months when maybe your conviction may or may not be won, but surely its about oppurtunism now is it not? Trust me, at the recent rally there was an overwhelming cry not for more money from Turkey, but a call for the end of the occupation. When one watches from a distance its easy to pass jugdements, its about being ready and seizing that oppurtunity, otherwise the world will just pass jugdement by thinking exactly what the fascists have manufactured over all these years. I remember UBP's gutless response to Erdogan when he said it was only a few idiots that hijacked the protest. In fact it wasnt a few, it was thousands of oppurtunists.

GCs would never do such a thing, they do not have the balls the TCs have and would not want to be seen as helping out their so called "compatriots"
