"TRNC" bankruptsy, the aftermath.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Not sure what you are saying here. Please expand? Go where?

I sometimes think that if I was rich enough to buy a Greek Island off the coast off Turkey I would donated it to the TC's. LOL given that you have no attachment to the land. Any old Island will do.

We all know the talks and the UN is a smokescreen, so far I have seen no evidence of that, apart from various small Trade Unions but its not enough. The genuine peace seeking TC's are quite simply not strong enough to put fear into the heart of Erdogan and his cronies. You guys in the south are too comfortable and with elections coming up why would anyone want to upset the balance?

Many of us (GCs) still want the unification more than ever for various reasons. Others are not so keen at it. A small percentage just don't care anymore. Definitely, we all understand, RoC is powerless to force Turkey out of Cyprus. Only Turkey itself, under Erdogan, can do that but at a cost, face saving being the biggest one.

It would appear both communities on this island are pawns in a bigger game with Turkey the main player.

As the situation worsens, the TC community must take steps to prevent the imminent collapse. The TC leadership must stand up to Ergogan and demand action to resolve the problem in lieu of playing the waiting game based on Turkey's "moves". The economic starvation & the settler overrun are clear signs of what's to come. You guys are systematically wiped off the face of Cyprus, already a minority in your own homeland, risking total extinction.

The RoC is waiting to see what the TC leadership is prepared to do. So far, nothing positive...

Doing nothing is unacceptable too! Unlike your opinion, I am sure a lot others are prepared to do something. Clearly, The "Turkey" option is backfiring so perhaps an EU option might be fair game to entertain.

Solidarity between trade unions is a start, some signs out there already. Political solidarity is next. Any political parties up north have the balls to proceed?

I agree and in time the TCs will shut up and realize that Turkey is a better bet than the GCs like yourself.

Evidently ;)

btw ... you'd want more GC's such as myself on your side. and Yes that does not mean handing you or Turkey my Country.

Your hate of GC's like myself is frightening VP. If you were a sensible person I would ask the question What is it about Greek speaking Cypriots like me that scares you?

Thats easy Gcs like yourself feel that you have the god given right to dominate and rule over us, force us to surrender to your demand that we accept minority status in a GC state.

The alternatives are humiliation, bankruptcy and extinction under Turkish domination. Or dignity, freedom and a share of the wealth of the ROC.

It's clear that some die-hard racists such as VP will never be able to live in a unified ROC and would rather retreat into life on a reservation in a futile gesture of communal suicide.

But the more intelligent T/Cs realize they are in a battle for survival. Erdogan has made his move. He has thrown the gauntlet down to the T/Cs and dared them to defy him. Let's see if they have the balls...

It is no matter of balls. It is a matter of dignity & common sense. As all Cypriots do, they have the right dose of dignity, but tCypriots need to realize that a unifying proposal awaits a well thought out answer. In 1963 they made the mistake of letting Turkey answer. Will thy now have the common sense to provide it themselves?
