What a preconception petition to call it 'One Cyprus' the only demands on this petition are withdraw troops, give back closed Famagusta and the issue of settlers the same ultra-nationalist and zero-sum views that are repeated over and over again. If this so called 'One Cyprus' petition maybe consider the T/C views as well what we demand and even if all three points are reached by today where are the guarantees for the T/C tommorow. At the end of the day political power is what we all want to hold onto while the G/C have the advantage on international stage they will scrape every inch anywhere possible to gain but not lose. So please re-write this petition naming it 'What Greek Cypriots Demand of One Cyprus'.

Why would we care? We have 100% control of the internationally recognised RoC and stacks of Oil and GAS.

That is your objective. And earlier today, I even stated that the RoC should hold similar rallies in the Government controlled areas and even send a small amount of aid to the TCs in an effort to promote such alliances.

But let's face it, the TCs have had ample oppportunity thus far. And I am unwilling to accept anything short of a unified state or at worst a 1 man 1 vote Federation.

If this is not possible, then I will make do with what I have today. 100% control of the internationally recognised RoC and control over 60% of the island and enjoy the wealth of our now abundant Natural Gas reserves with my fellow countrymen.

The onus is on the TCs and not the GCs. We have the stronger position because we are the only true recognised entity, and we have a relatively strong economy. Why should I give this up?????
