Postby foivosfoivos » Wed Feb 09, 2011 2:45 am

Hello. I have just finished my studies and i want to find a job as an english teacher. Could i find work in Cyprus? I heard it is easy to find work in English Frontistiria there. Is it True? Any further information would be fine. Thank you.

To be an English teacher you need to also know Greek well. Do you? I don't know how easy it is to find job at Frontistiria but for sure the salaries there are much less than what you could get from public schools.

The best English teachers that I have come across were those who didn't speak Greek. Speaking Greek is not an asset in this case but rather a liability.

Perhaps Foivos should become Phoevos, no?

You would, if you knew the differences in salary and benefits. ;) Unless it is just some temporary or part time job that you are interested in

P-a-P, I believe he means he has no interest in public schools. It's a translation thing.

If it it a "translation thing", that is not very good for an English teacher!

You need to have a current unrestricted donkey obedience training certificate.
