3G Internet for short visit (2 months)

Postby Zelda » Sun Feb 06, 2011 8:46 pm

I'm going to Paphos and will stay there for 2 months. i must have Internet since I'm going to work when I'm down there.

Is there any 3G Internet that I can use? Like prepay for 2 months and then just surf? I just need breadband for 2 months.

Had a similar problem about a year ago... tried to do it with a pay-as-you-go CY Sim , but got nowhere.

You may have to fall back to taking out a monthly bolt on with your usual supplier for 3g net access.

........unless anyone knows any better???

(Where's Palio when we need him?)

Kafenes is back in horse pickle today... I'm going to lend him my laptop and it would be good to get him on-line from there if anybody knows a quick and easy solution...

We did try all the local WiFi connections the last time he was in...

MTN have their mobile broadband which I think you can have on short term. 136 when you get here and they can help.

If you have a smartphone with a tethering app on it, you should be able to tether it to the laptop to connect to net.

You can get a pre paid VMC card (vodafone mobile connect) 3G USB modem when you come over. Or if you already have a USB modem you can just get a new pre paid SIM for it. If you have a Vodafone usb modem you can top it up with local vodafone top up cards without the need to get anything else.

Hope this helps

Check Citycell (http://www.citycellhotspot.com/longterm.htm) if this may suit you.

Indeed...

If you want appalling customer service and to be treated with contempt when you complain then ShittyCell is a good option.
