Jumbo's - BEWARE! Things to know before you buy....

Postby juliesewell » Sat Feb 05, 2011 7:24 pm

I really like shopping in Jumbo's but today fell foul of their ridiculous Returns Policies

I bought some velour casual trousers on Wednesday for floating around the house in and to take to Malta with me in a couple of weeks. Sizes are a bit crazy in there and nowhere to try on - so, bearing in mind I'd just picked up some jim jams as well in a size Large  I picked up the same size in the trousers.

Leg length looked fine and the waist was the same size as the jim jams.

Got them home later that day and tried them on. Jim jams are great, trousers are not. Waist is fine but you could get me and another person in the a r s e of them and still have room for a fight!

Took them back today for an exchange only to be told "no, not today - only Monday to Friday for exchange"

Now I only managed to get to Jumbo on Wednesday as I finished early and it'll be nigh on impossible for me to get there again for a number of weeks (well, after I get back from Malta)! I've got the Friday off before I go back to work....

So now, I'm stuck with a pair of trousers with an extremely saggy a r s e and just have to hope they will exchange them when I get back!

How friggin' stupid is that?

What is anyone supposed to do who works for a living?

BEWARE! DON'T BUY CLOTHING IN JUMBO'S unless you are absolutely positive they will fit!

I agree their exchange policy stinks, got a remote controlled car once as a present, took it, fired it up however it was not working. I fixed it in the end, did not want to go through all the hassle.
