They will give them time .... and the time is beginning to click into a different gear ........ I give it another three years before we see some people taking that action ...... one would have to be stupid to have land in the the free area, be working in the free area and having to put up with Edrogan's telling off because they dare to want a different life .. a free life and a prosperous life ...... am just not sure if it will the the rich of the trnc who will move first or if its the average person .... we certainly know it wont be the poorerst .........

Todays paragraph on these protests is pretty much on point. TC civil servants have been living on turkeys state handouts a far better life than the average turkish civil servant and than have the audacity to complain.

http://www.cyprus-mail.com/opinions/tal ... e/20110206

'VERY DIFFICULT to disagree with Turkish PM Erdogan’s blunt analysis of last week’s mass protest by Turkish Cypriot unions against Ankara’s decision to cut spending in the north. He said the demo was provocative, as the TCs were “fed and maintained by Turkey”.
“They take our money and tell us to get lost,” he quipped and he had a point. When you depend on someone else’s charity you take what they give you and shut-up; you don’t stage demos demanding more dosh. But it seems public parasites are exactly the same on both sides of the Green Line – their sense of entitlement knows no bounds.
The presidential advisor on Turkish affairs, son-in-law of the comrade Nicos Moudouros put a completely different spin on the union demo in the north. It was a popular revolt against Turkey; the TCs were rising against their oppressor as they had done in 2003, when they were clamouring for re-unification.
Perhaps as an expert on Turkish affairs he might know something we do not, but from our viewpoint the TC public parasites were defending their wages and privileges, which are significantly higher than what state employees are paid in Turkey. If Erdogan gave them pay rises of 5 per cent they would be partying and demanding more oppression.'

VP if you can produce evidence where i said that TC's will be moving back 5 years ago. I am more than happy to admit that my opinion was wrong. I don't have to be right all the time ;) I read enuff books to know when my ego is talking ;) Stupid I don't know.... I'd rather be having ideas even if they not the right ones rather than being stupid and allow people to run my life because I cannot think or fend for myself ;)
