Question here, I was speaking to some relatives that have come over from the TRNC and we talked about them leaving the south after 74 (not sure of the exact date). They said they were taken from there homes and forced to move north by the gc army they had no individual choice in the matter. Then Speaking to one of my dads relatives she said the same thing happened to her and her husband as well.

So if this is the case then is this not ethnic cleansing as well? And what was the difference with what happened to the gcs

Maybe I am being a little dim here, so be patient with me... but are you saying that the UN MADE the GC army force TCs north and MADE the Turkish army force GCs South?

DTA, partition has been the aim of TCs since the 1950s and continues to be their aim today. TCs WANT ethnic cleaning because this is the only way they can achieve some "Turkish State" in Cyprus, since without any ethnic cleansing the whole of Cyprus would have a Greek Cypriot majority and therefore no "Turkish State" would be possible.

Turkey invaded Cyprus in order to enforce partition by ethically cleansing Cyprus, the TCs illegally grabbed twice as much in the north compared to what they left behind, and then you have the nerve to blame the GCs for the results of your own aim and actions???

Even today the Turks are trying to legalize the result of the ethnic cleansing so they can have a "Turkish state" on the lands they stole from us. If this is something that you do not want then why don't you agree that all Cypriots should have the right to return to their homes?

I seem to remember Turkish Cypriots in a concentration camp in Limasol. I had to smile when I read that it was the UN that asked the Greek Cypriot Army to round the Turkish Cypriots up, ready for exchange.

Don't you love them when they can make the history up on the hoof. Denktash did not accuse them of being real Cypriots for nothing.

When did this happen? Dates and evidence?

Date of Turkish invasion when the Turks started to kill Cypriots by the 1000s and ethnically cleansing us by the 100s of thousands: 20th of July 1974.

Why have you completely ignored my question? we are talking about ethnic cleansing and I have asked an honest question, so why not answer it?
