1975 - Turkish Cypriots establish independent administration, with Rauf Denktash as president. Denktash and Clerides agree population exchange.

From the point nationalism was introduced in Cyprus, it was most probable that some sort of ethnic cleansing would happen. Unfortunately, it happened in one of the worst forms possible at the end.

Unfortunately it's still happenng today in Cyprus with the continued import of settlers and the victims of this act are the TCs and GCs.

Me Ed

I am not sure if the TC's are victims of the settler issue .... they are agreeing to it. Each day they deny themselves unification. It is their own creation ..... I think it is time for personal responsibility to be taken ....

Piratis wrote:DTA, partition has been the aim of TCs since the 1950s and continues to be their aim today. TCs WANT ethnic cleaning because this is the only way they can achieve some "Turkish State" in Cyprus, since without any ethnic cleansing the whole of Cyprus would have a Greek Cypriot majority and therefore no "Turkish State" would be possible.

Turkey invaded Cyprus in order to enforce partition by ethically cleansing Cyprus, the TCs illegally grabbed twice as much in the north compared to what they left behind, and then you have the nerve to blame the GCs for the results of your own aim and actions???

Even today the Turks are trying to legalize the result of the ethnic cleansing so they can have a "Turkish state" on the lands they stole from us. If this is something that you do not want then why don't you agree that all Cypriots should have the right to return to their homes?

I have seen many Greeks like you with the law books in one hand and a gun in the other Piratis.....We took your gun and hit you on the head with the book. NO wonder you are teaming up with the Jews. YOu might even get the contracts to build the concentration camps for the Palestinians.
