How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Εβώ πάντα σε σένα πενσέω,

στην καρδιά μου πάντα σένα βαστώ.

I dont know if it depends upon my skill or just because we have same roots but for me understand greek is easy ( more easy than German for example ) my cipriot family says filoglossìa

HAhahahahahaha nice try...

Ethnic Austrians.. Yep. Very true. Really. Ethnic Bavarians? Ethnic Prussians?

Austrian language you say.. Which is... German maybe?
Austrian culture? Not a German culture? Nice to see people believe that dumb shit :D

I dare you. Go to Munich. Tell them that Bavaria is the worst place on earth. Then go to Freiburg. Tell them that Bavaria is the best place on earth. You probably will die on both occasions so I suggest you use Get Real! on this research to actually pull it off :P

Go read how Germany was unified and what happened between Austria and Prussia and you'll eat your words right away.
Tip: Check the World Wars

Luxembourg is a separate country as well... Also similar to San Marino not being part of Italy even if they are 100% Italian. They were just a small kingdom during the days of Italian unification "process" and was like an asylum place for unionists. They agreed that San Marino can stay independent and not join the rest, as a "thank you" for their help in the Italian cause. I'm pretty sure your small mind will not absorb that, so I will rephrase. San Marino being part of Italy, so what? San Marino independent, you ask, why are they in the middle of Italy and have a separate country? You search their history and see why. Otherwise San Marino would have perished and be an unknown entity in the global stage.

The only myth is you believing that Cyprus has a national identity that differentiates Cypriots from mainalnd Greeks...

For the record, just because I know that you're gonna swallow on it

History of Austria

I'm gonna start from 1864 and on, which is the basic important stuff

1864: Along with Prussia help the northern German states in a war versus Denmark

1866: Following territorial differences with Prussia, the Austria-Prussian war begines. Prussia wins. Austria is banned from the German Confederation as war tribute!

1867: Hungarians are revolting within Austria. Austria want to stop the revolts so they create Austria-Hungary Empire.

1914: Heir to the Austrian throne, Franz Ferdinand, is killed. The Great War begins which we now know as World War 1.

1918: Austria-Hungary is on the losing side of the war. Empire is stripped, new state is called Republic of German Austria.
Austria requests to be unified with Germany through the parliament. 99% Austrians said YES to unification.
France and Italy, winners of WW1, did not allow the unification! Name was forced to change to Republic of Austria.

Unification of Germany was the aim of the Weimar constitution (set up in 1918) and supposedly backed by Woodrow Wilson under his Fourteen Points. -> self-determination, ie one nation one state.

After Nazi occupation, which the majority welcomed, Austria was forced once more to become an independent state. It remains until today.

You are a Big CLOWN as all the crap you posted above did not answer the simple question I asked so I will throw these crap once again in to the same dustbin (its almost full so I need to buy a new one soon) :

Image

If it hasnt got a national Identity on its own CLOWN then why it does have a nationality and why it is listed as the 27th member of the European Union an equal member of the other 26 members MR Einshtein . but I know what your heroes are may I list some :

A GRIVAS DIGENIS
B NIKOS SAMPSON
C THE REST OF THE EOKA B TERRORIST
D CHRYSI AVGI THE TERRORIST GROUP

All Independent Countries have a national Identity on their own Clown . If you visit Austria you can realise not only Similarities with Germany but many Differences CLOWN which make up their own culture and living styles : thats my point the same with Cyprus .....

Nationality determination, yes, National identuty, no.

Austrians are Germans
Northern Irish are Irish
Cypriots are Greek

Get that in your head

And don't put words into your mouths. I'm no fan of Grivas or Sampson or Eoka B or Xrisi Avgi... I am assuming they did something pretty bad to you and you just consider anyone who disagrees with you is their friend

Klik wrote:Get Real! also confused Greeks with the small land they consider home now.

Greeks were all over the world in the past.

Besides mainland Greece and Cyprus where they still are the majority, they used to be in Northen Africa, Anatolia(Turkey), from the Middle East to India, present day Italy, Spanish western coast, French south coast as well as far as Britain. And this is just the BC years.

You can't find Greece on the map. What about Italy? Or Spain? Where is Spain? Ukraine? Romania? Germany? Slovenia? Or even Cyprus which you claim is the cradle of civilization?

You think some fancy naming of "Kingdom of Italy" and "Kingdom of Germany" on some maps are actually how they called themselves?

Italy was a GREEK term used for CALABRIA and it became the name of GREEK CITIZENS OF SOUTHERN ITALY when the Romans went there. They were so impressed with the architecture and the culture they found, they adopted the name and culture. The term Italy "died" ever since the Byzantine Empire was implemented (also called GRECO-ROMAN EMPIRE) just as the term Greek didn't mean much. It was a UNITED RACE. Greeks and Italians living under one flag. Until the greed forced them apart. 19th century, NATIONS started to develop. Both Italy and Greece had to create their own. They combined according to identity. Italians have somehow achieved their nation. Greece still hasn't and now there's not much of a nation left outside the borders since the Turks and Nassr massacred almost all of them

Italy as an "idea" started in the early 19th century. Germany as an idea involved AUSTRIA as well, because they were called Germanic people. There was no Germany on any map before Bismarck marked the unification, excluding Austria!

It was all about Prussia, Bavaria, Austria in Germany.... Lombardia, Piedmont, Napoli etc in Italy!

I love giving you history lessons but I think i'll start charging after this one. It was supposed to be 1st lesson free but it became like first 10 lessons free so far

Also, Kingdom of Cyprus 1190.. Are you gonna use that as well? Or do you wanna know that a lord BOUGHT Cyprus and gave the island an "independent" status, which meant that person and his children and their children would rule the place without giving a damn about its people...?

Before coming out with another "bright" idea, read a book or twenty, cross-reference what you'll say some 25 times, then come and post your crap. And don't start with your turn forward coz you have already reached the bottom of the barrel, don't try digging even lower, you''ll hit your head...

I guess all we can do with rotten stuff is throw them away. Because if we leave them be, they will get pests all over the place. Cyprus has enough pests since 1571, don't bring us more and save yourself from the misery.

Greece is the idea of pan-Hellinism. Failed? Maybe. Still at works? Could be. The so called "Megali Idea" is not one of senseless expansionism, but a liberation of the lands. It started in 1821 and would have succeded by early 1920s if there wasn't any backstabbing and treason within(usual stuff)

Interesting subjects:

Greco-Buddhism How the Greeks changed the way of life in the Far East...

Elche, Alicante Two Spanish cities who celebrate their Greek history

Calabria/Sicily populations Speak with people from there and they will tell you of the pride they feel about having possibly Greek roots!

Kalesh see how some people in central Asia have preserved their Greek culture as much as possible from ancient times till today.

Greece is an idea that apparently you cannot grasp. Feel free to drool over some maps your mind doesn't have the capacity to understand...

And on a finishing note, HOW ON EARTH DO THESE MAPS PROVE YOUR THEORY THAT GREEKS ARE SLAVS?

More like Italians vs Turks isn't it?
Dufous.... :!:

Very good post indeed, well done. I have been away from this forum for over as year mainly because of the trash from posters like Get Real. It is about time someone gave him a history lesson but no doubt he will continue to post his anti -greek trash.
