Really.?? :o

Then I don't know why VP and company are not demanding that Turkey leave with her settlers, since VP always claimed, that the only reason they keep Turkey around, so that they can milk her. Now you are telling me, that VP and Co. can milk the RoC instead if they would send Turkey packing home.

So what's the hold up.???

here's how it works - deal with the turks, then earn a nice bonus... don't - then don't expect any bail outs. no pain, no gain.

Greek intransigence....

Don't see it as "Milking", think of it as squeezing our blood back out from the soil that the Greeks spilt. Clumsy of them really. Had they washed us into the sea then the fish would have cleaned up for them.

Well, what can I say. That's what happens when you put all your eggs in the Annan Plan basket, so to lay your hands on the "Goose that would have laid all the Golden Eggs" for you. Missed opportunity, I know, but life's a bitch and then you die.!

Next time try a little bit of Fair & Just settlement with True Democracy, Human Rights, International law and EU Principles, then you might get your hands on the RoC's Golden Eggs after all. My God, even the Arabs are demanding Democracy and Human Rights now, when 2 weeks ago there was nothing. Don't be the "last man standing" along with Turkey in the region who are against these basic Universal Principles, otherwise you are both going to look like schmucks by the Arabs and the whole western world.!

Cymart said:

"the E.U. wants the Cyprus question solved before Cyprus is head of the E.U. next year, otherwise it will cause a lot of complications for everyone?"

Spain, the UK, Belgium, have similar problems with minotiries/terrorism/secessionist movements and they managed to preside over the EU for their six months with no problems. Presiding over the EU is not that big a deal.

What would make it a big deal would be confirmation of a viable gas field within the indisputable EEZ of the RoC. Then you will see many more people stating how pleased they are that Cyprus is assuming the rotating presidency of the EU. First and foremost would be the Germans and the French, followed closely by Britain who will be quick to remind us of the "special relationship" it has with the island and how it rivals its also "special" relationship with the USA!!!
