Liberation idea - mobilising Greece

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Liberation idea - mobilising Greece

Postby ZoC » Mon Jan 31, 2011 8:18 pm

The Great Depression of the 1920s brought Germany to its knees, with inflation going through the roof and unemployment reaching 30%. It took a new regime to trigger economic recovery, reinvigorating national pride and mobilising the workforce in a massive rearmament programme to achieve 'liebensraum'. The collapsed economy of Greece 2011 might benefit from a similar economic revolution, using the liberation of Cyprus (many of whose population perceive themselves to be Greek) as a just national cause to unite under. Gas reserves to the south east of the island offer a lucrative financial incentive for both Greece and other willing European allies to free northern Cyprus from 37 years of tyranny... Discuss.

Not a bad theory, except it involves "Greeks" getting a spine! Image

Sounds good, won't work. Greece is under treason, wait for that to end and we'll see then.

Then again, we have the Pravda speculation of Russian-Turkish war caused by Turkey-Israel tensions which will, as the article says, cause a rebirth to Greece... we can wait for that :D

avent you heard of teh Egyptians trying to topple Mubarak? The people have not yet decided what they want. A large number of them want the Islamic brotherhood to come into power. You know what that means to any pact Egypt made with Israil. So I would not bank on any present Turkey-Irrail tension yet. As I said previously poloitical alliances are very fluid. The moon rises and the moon sets. I aint talking about the crescent but the tidal flow.
