However, this idea of getting Greece involved in war with Turkey belongs to the crazy doctor, Lyssarides, who in 1975 said that we should start small commando raids in the occupied areas in order to drag Greece into war with Turkey. Really, these people hate Greece, despite their rhetoric.

I bet you the Cyprus problem would have been solved if people listened to Lyssarides back in 75............He also advocated back then that Greece should send a division of soldiers and station them on the green line

Its time to accept it , once and for all. Greece is a corrupt , selfish , cowardly nation of people , I witnessed personally their cowardly behaviour during the Junta years, I have lived and worked in Greece , albeit for a short period of 3 months , have gotten to know the people and have realized what fools we were in Cyprus to have ever contemplated uniting with a nation that is so far inferior to our own.
Trust them and the entire island of Cyprus will perish , 4 , 5 or more million Anatolians , lost for ever to Turkey and Greece will still be hymning , Min kles Kira Despina..... and bollocks !
We can do it our selves we have the tenacity and the national interests of our island at heart , we are Cypriots together we SHALL overcome.

Anything relying on Greece would’ve been an abysmal failure!

Some of you just don’t seem to realize what an incompetent and hopeless “friend” you have chosen! Wake up!

Anyone who places his eggs in Greece’s basket might as well step on them!

And what friends should Cyprus have?

Ones that don’t undermine her sovereignty (like Greece and Turkey has), who don’t undermine her true history and glorious ancient inheritance (like Greece does), and who abide by international law (unlike Turkey, Greece, the US, and the UK).

You think the Islamic fundamentalists will be helping us anytime soon.

No, that’s something you seem to think.

You have too much free time...take a little break from the forum.

And who will replace me to serve Cyprus... you? Image

It seems Israel has been compulsorily accepted as a friend by GR because she is supposedly a wealthy, influential country...

Bananiot i remember Clerides being the president threatening the same thing in 74.....he backed off with the assurances from the Brits and the USA of a tough stance against Turkey and a resolution to the problem in 1974...where is the resolution?

I know our names sound alike but that is where the similarities end. My views are my own and I have a right to express those views on any given matter.
