Hermes are you for real or just joking? please dont tell us you are serious.....if history has brought us to where we are today did you not contribute in anyway? Time you got off your high horse and tried to understand that we cannot and do not want to live together our differences are to many and the chasm is just to wide to bridge, if there was a magical solution it would have happened years ago. The GCs accuse us of being Turks and part of Turkey, is thats the case we can stay like this forever, we have no problem with that but if you want to unite as one island then you have to start faces your own errors and mistakes of the past n order to build a better future. The world is telling to unite under a BBF with political equality, have you grasped this point, does it not tell you that you are just as much maybe even more to blame as us? you need to get a grip as BBF means a partnership of 2 states under one "joint" banner called a united Cyprus, we each have the opportunity to administer our own states and then share responsibility at the federal level...you really need to get your brain into gear as you seem to think that the current isolation will push us into accepting your demands, this has not happened in 48 years and it aint gonna happen tomorrow. The TCs feel very very strongly about living in a GC system as a minority and would rather merge with Turkey 100% than capitulate to this GC demand, if you are ready to share equally under a 2 state solution we are always ready to listen and compromise but anything you can keep and kiss the north goodbye forever.

We may kiss the north goodbye but you will disappear completely from the island as a community.
As I said at the begining of this thread the TCs biggest problem is they have delusions of grandeur, they always try to punch above their weight, hence the problems in the 1960s. Accept the plain fact that, as a community, you are a minority. Divorce yourselves from Turkey and the Greek Cypriots will no longer see you as a threat. The EU will ensure your security

Stop behaving like spoilt brats!

Jerry let me try and explain something which you like many others seem to ignore, the identity losing card doesn't exist and playing it is like water of a ducks back. The quality of life is the important fact in life, we TCs have the right to move south tomorrow, we don't have you asked yourself why? and don't give the classic you have GC land and all that rubbish. You have to understand that what the GCs are offering is there for the taking today but we reject this and prefer to become as you people put it Turkey, our roots are Turkish so its not an insult or a threat when you use this card, it has no weight. Why cant we have the right just like the GCs to administer our won state where people can travel and settle where ever they wish? which should this privilege be only afforded to GCs when we are partners on this island stemming from international agreements, why?

Identity isn’t important? Crap, you say you don’t want to get back with the GCs because you will lose your identity but you are happy to be sucked up by Turkey.

Quality of life is important? You are going to lose it when Turkey removes the financial prop, THEN you will want to move south.

You can’t have the right to administer your own state because Turkey created it illegally by force, nobody will every recognise it without the agreement of the ROC

Don’t give me “international agreements crap”. You pick and choose which parts you want to adhere to.
