The TC's want to preserve their Cypriot identity and they are prepared to struggle hard for this, against the army, the settlers, the nationalists of VOLKAN and the murdering Grey Wolves. What do you want them to do to please you, become Christians?

   You are so funny. Preserve their culture he says, ha. Now called Cyprus Turks, no complaints, changed their names, no complaints, cypriot dielect stopped, no complaints, taking hand outs from Turkey, no complaints. All of a sudden when the going gets tough, they want to be TCs again.

They brought this upon themselves they can jolly well sort it themselves. Did you go to the demo Bananiotoglu?? You could have had multiple orgasms, just think, being amongst all your people.

This should be in the joke section, it is really funny.

Everyday we have the TCs here laughing in our faces about our properties they stole, about our country they hold, and you expect the GCs to support these thieving lowdown MFs? Hade re ilithie.

If it's not a game of football it also not a game of toddlers, carers and warm embraces.

It is about International laws and Moral Codes. Human rights and honesty.

Can you honestly say a robber can demand support from the robbed?

Maybe yes, maybe no. It depends on the superpower. But you seem to think justice should be put on hold for your friend Kemal.

It depends on the superpower (το δίκαιο της πυγμής), we are finally getting somewhere, but leave Kemal out of this for justice, as a concept of moral rightness, cannot bring back his elder son who was arrested when 13 by our police in order to be "protected" and has not been seen since.

I think the demonstration is being taken out of context here. People demonstrated for the austerity package that the UBP government accepted and many other political promises he has now broken (Eroglu). Now under ever breath and whisper of T/C there has always been anger of Turkey’s grip on our nation. Who wants to see army barracks all over the island?

What the UBP government failed to do is stand up with the T/C and voice to the GoT is thank you for your help but please you run your country and we will look after here, what Mehmet Ali Talat was doing.

T/C never lost their identity they always remained Cypriot, you could clearly see that in yesterday’s demonstration written on placards and the Cypriot flag waved.

What is annoying is that you G/C on this forum blame me a T/C a citizen on this island for me keeping Turkey here and living from it’s handouts. So when people attack the automatic reaction of any human being is to defend.

It was Greece that lied to become an EU member and then persuaded the EU that it will only enter as Cyprus the bargaining chip.

So don’t come here accusing Turkey especially me and acting all innocent when everything that has been created on this island is the manipulation of Greek and G/C politics.

Isn't it about time the TCs stopped blaming Greeks for their predicament? It isn't G/Cs who occupy the north of the island in defiance of international law. It isn't G/Cs who are bringing in Anatolian settlers. It isn't G/Cs who are banning the T/C dialect. It isn't G/Cs who have kept the island separated for the last 35 years. It isn't G/Cs who have ruined the northern economy, sold the property of the original owners and brought the weight of international law crashing down on the T/Cs heads. You've done it all yourselves in the last 35 years.

Greek Cypriots have just let you get on with it: isolation, economic ruin, cultural eradication and mass emigration. Even the most fanatical Greek nationalist couldn't have inflicted such a disaster on the Turkish Cypriots. Nice work. So keep on blaming the Greeks. Pretty soon, there'll be no T/Cs left in the north and you'll wonder how it happened. No doubt the Greeks did it.

Yes, we forced them to run upstairs, knowing that they'd be swallowed by their motherland... literally

What are you going to do? You are embargoed for being ethnic cleansers, plunderers and thieves. There is no sympathy for T/Cs anywhere in the world. You do know this, don't you? You can't get much lower in world opinion. You are not victims but criminals in occupation of a land you have no right to. The sooner you realise this the better. It will save you even further humiliation.

While Communal Existence Meeting was going on at Inonu Square

NEW MARTYRS MONUMENT UNVEILED :!: :!: :!:

A monument was unveiled in Nicosia yesterday in memory of 4 martyrs who died in Kucuk Kaymaklı in 1957 during the resistance waged against British colonial rule. The “İlk adım” monument, meaning the first step, was unveiled in Nicosia Yenisehir neighborhood in memory of Ulus Ulfet, Kubilay Altayli, Mustafa Ertan Celal and Ismail Beyoglu who had died while trying to build a pipe bomb.

The opening ceremony for the monument constructed jointly by the N.Nicosia Municipality and the Sönmezliler Society started with a minutes silence followed by the raising of the flags to the national anthem.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the board of directors of the Sönmezliler Society Ahmet Sanver said that the 4 martyrs had ignited the first spark of the TC's struggle.

Also speaking, the President of the Society of Martyrs Families and Disabled War Veterans Ertan Ersan said that the monument served to immortalize the first martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the TC'S
The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Türkay Tokel who represented the Prime Minister at the opening for his part said that the TC'S desired a safe and bright future.

He also underlined that it was not possible to reach a settlement by forgetting the past and by watering down the principles of bi-zonality.
