Those countries are demonstrating to oust non democratic governments, Human Rights violators, corrupted systems and so on, however, in the north, these are not what the demonstrators are trying to achieve, just because they don't seem to put much value to them at all. No, they just don't want any of their handouts from Turkey to be cut. Democracy, Human Rights and International laws does not seem to be on top of their list. They are only interested in more $$$$$$'s from Turkey than principles.!
