No one has yet to explain exactly how they will have control over the whole of Cyprus if we were to ever unite? Do you really believe the population will vote against anything that will make their lives better because Turkey tells them to do so? if you do you are out right stupid.

You are under Turkey's rule now, are you not, and it has nothing to do with the money Turkey spends in the north, and you will be again under their control if you agree to Annan Plan kind of a settlement. Why do you think Turkey wants a Annan Plan kind of a settlement.? The only way Turkey will not have any control over the north state and the TCs, is if there is a True Federation and True Democracy, which you don't want, which makes me to believe that you do want Turkey to have control of the north state and the TCs. Why do you think I'm preaching True Federation and True Democracy all the time, is because for Turkey not to have control over the north state and the TCs. You are just too blind to see it, even though I have stated it many times in the past.

The problem is that many of its provisions are so complex and leave room for so many various interpretations that reading it is enough to put anyone off!
But it was so excessively derided and cursed by the leadership in power at that time on the G.C. side to such an extent that it made some people here believe that anything other than the present status-quo will be worse that what they have now.....this is the major disadvantage its legacy has left and will be a major hurdle when any feasible agreement is presented that both sides can accept!
But what cannot be denied is that if it had gone through,all the territory of Cyprus would have actively been made part of the E.U(except for the British Bases).,rather than just the south because the acquis is suspended in the north.

You are of course making the assumption that, had the AP went through, that the "United Cyprus" would have been in the EU at all. Don't forget, that it was the RoC that applied and was accepted to become a EU member and not the so called "United Cyprus". The EU would have been in their right to deny Cyprus entry into the EU, knowing full well that Turkey would have had full control of the north state to do as she wanted and also have influence over the whole island. The EU would not have taken any chances to accept the new "United Cyprus" as a member and opening a "hornets nests" of unknowns with Turkey.!

It has nothing to do with money. It is the desires of the Fascists NeoPartitionists to hand the north to Turkey on a plate. If it was about money, the RoC will more than likely pay you to sit on your ass all day long if you would tell Turkey to leave. The TRNC Government has given the East-Med University 4 building areas in the Ghost Town City of Maras (Varosha) for the development of its Hostels Expansion project. Also, after a Top Turkish Military visit to the fenced in city, plans are to now go ahead in the development of two new projects for the entire area failing an agreement. These include a small military quarters towards the Greek Cypriot border area in the south part of the Maras and a City airport in view of accommodating the Maras-like new Hotel distrinct in the North of the Walled in Historic city, which is now viewed upon as the new-Maras (Varosha) area comprising of the Salamis Bay Hotel and all the way to the New Kaya Artemis Hotel. Developers from Turkey are due to start proceeding this week according to the Magosa (famagusta) local Turkish Cypriot Council MP of the TRNC.

If theres no agreement real soon we should open the whole area up to be included in the TRNC.
