Anti-Government Demos in Egypt

Postby bill cobbett » Tue Jan 25, 2011 8:03 pm

Reading from this...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12272836

Today seems to have been a day of revolt in an internet/titter/text-organised campaign against the government, clearly inspired by events in Tunisia a few days ago.

Reading elsewhere there also seems to be some dissatisfaction amongst many in the Lebanon against the government and Monarchy.

Any of CF's political analysts, knowledgeable in matters Middle-Eastern, care to give us a view as to where these popular actions are going? How far will this domino effect go?

You’ll find that it coincides with America’s gradual downfall. One by one America’s murderous puppets are getting toppled!

Bill, you more than anyone should appreciate the power of the internet -
After the JLo Facebook campaign!

The big one building now is that Cyprus is not fit to hold the rotating EU presidency next year.

Do keep up with the programme Bill.

Well it is curious that the same chap, this Mubarek fellow, has been re-elected Pres at every election for the past 30 years. Not exactly conducive to change and progress.

A clear message to the islamofacists of the world in Saudi Arabia and Iran.

You must be quaking in your boots.

Your days are numbered.

i dunno mate. One of the things hear has happened in Tunisia is that it's more of a palace coup with more or less the same people in charge.

Wonder whether Figgy could enlighten us re Egypt. Figgy! Are you sober and dressed???

CNN here just reported that unrest in Lebanon, and they anticipate this thing could also spread to Jordan
