And all the while, across the Middle East, we are waiting to see the downfall of America's friends. In Egypt, Mr Mubarak must be wondering where he flies to. In Lebanon, America's friends are collapsing. This is the end of the Democrats' world in the Arab Middle East. We do not know what comes next. Perhaps only history can answer this question.

We know a little more then that and i for one do not need to wait for history to answer it. We know that the powerful Egyptian military receives financing and equipment from the United States. For example...the Egyptian military has acquired f16s, m1a1 battle tanks, state of the art aerial surveillance aircraft and missile batteries...so much military equipment that i can not possibly name them all here. If there is a change in leadership in Egypt, that leader will probably need the nod of approval from the Egyptian military who is not going to let any box head take Mr Mubarak's seat. This is the Middle East after all. So, Egyptian relations with the US will always be fine. What is not certain is this...Egypt under Mr Mubarak was the first of our neighboring countries with whom the Republic of Cyprus concluded an agreement to determine their respective EEZs. Turkey has always asked Egypt to scrap that agreement stating back then that the sea area must be divided equitably between Turkey and Egypt. Right now, as we speak...we couldnt ask for better relations between Cyprus and Egypt. Will that still be the case under new Egyptian leadership? Or will there be change under the guise of muslim brotherhood? Only history can answer THAT question.

GR relished in an article that proudly proclaimed that America's friends are collapsing. In his hatred of everything west, he neglected to see that Mr. Mubarak was in fact a strong friend of Cyprus. Doh!

Here is an interesting article from today's zaman that may interest the box head and those that think like him:

The agreement with Egypt this week on joint gas and oil exploration in the region was an important step in the right direction. It rendered the 2003 agreement of Egypt with the Greek Cypriot administration for cooperation on gas exploration as effectively useless. Turkey and Egypt, two powerhouses in the Middle East, may usher a new era in the Arab Street and change the power balance for the better.

Jews, Jews, Jooooooos. their everywhere! Instead of having this hatred for a certain group of people you may want to learn some lessons from them. Yeah, i said it. Specifically how they help one another. As im sure you are aware of, our people are a different story...at each other's necks, in everyone's business and conspiracies about everything and anything. I mean, every country has their conspiracists...but in Cyprus, forgetaboutit...tin foil hats everywhere. You probably believe the current PM of Greece is a Jew and Osama is smoking a hookah somewhere safe from the Joooos.

Have you every heard a "pot head" getting all philosophical? Like you and the box head, they like to listen to themselves talk about shit they do not have a clue about. Why just the other day, my idiotic cousin tells me if only Israel did not exist...that way we wouldnt have the issues we do with Turkey vis-à-vis Cyprus blah blah blah. I had to stop him on the forth blah and told him to shaaat the fack up....after-all, who wants to listen to drivel? Of course, i said it with a smile. LOL

Turkey Predicts Alliance With Egypt as Regional Anchors

Strikingly, he predicted a partnership between Turkey and Egypt, two of the region’s militarily strongest and most populous and influential countries, which he said could create a new axis of power at a time when American influence in the Middle East seems to be diminishing.

“This is what we want,” Mr. Davutoglu said.
